This $50 denomination example features a face side vignette of Queen Alexandra seated on a throne, red-inked "SPECIMEN" on both sides, and 2 POCs across the lower portion of each note. Of interest, Charlton mentions that regular issued $50 denominated notes are not available to collectors as known examples are maintained in institutional collections only. This will only be the second time we have handled this large denomination from this issue and is the first time that an uncut sheet will cross our auction block.
