The highest graded example of this 5 Yen design to appear at auction that we know about and that includes issued, Proof, Specimen, and Specimen Proof notes. Our current offering of this vertical format Gold Note grades PMG About Uncirculated 53 EPQ. Vignette on the face is of two facing Onagadori cockerels and of two facing dragons. It has an all zero serial number on the face and "Specimen" is printed upside down on the back. We see that a Face and Back Proof grading a raw 45 received a winning bid $4,437.49 in 2016.
