Danzig Central Finance Department 1 Gulden 1.11.1923 Pick 48. From the second series of the Danzig guilder, issued only ten days after the first series. The new currency was introduced as Danzig, though a free city, also experienced intense hyperinflation since it used a currency tied to the German papiermark at the time. These notes were introduced as soon as approval was given by the League of Nations, and circulated for only a few months before notes designed and prepared by Bradbury Wilkinson became available.
