East Africa Government of the East Africa Protectorate 50 Rupees 1.9.1905 Pick 1Dp Proof. A grandly sized uniface proof of this early design from East Africa's first series of banknotes. Annotations indicating the locations of the hidden printer's marks are seen in red, one in each of the rosettes which were similar in design across all notes of this series. All fine details are excellent on this note from an earlier stage of the design and printing stage. Annotations and mounting which do not detract from the note's attractiveness are noted.
