Lebanon Banque de Syrie et du Liban 10 Livres 1.9.1939 Pick 28a. A very appealing example of this Bradbury Wilkinson note with the first overprint. Embossing is sharp, with the multicolor underprint excellently preserved. While most notes of this series were heavily circulated and later supplemented with French printed issues, it is a delight to see an example in any form in such Gem conditions. The clock tower of the Grand Serail in Beirut is featured on the face. Hole cancel and rather faint CANCELLED stamps are seen on the note. PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.
