Portugal Banco de Portugal 500 Escudos 18.11.1932 Pick 147. A little less than a year ago, we were privileged enough to have another example of this scarce high denomination note in our Long Beach auction. That piece, a Very Fine 35 with some minor issues and a net grade still commanded a price of $4,320. This example, every bit superior in terms of technical grade and eye appeal is likely to easily exceed that price. The colors are as vivid as first printed, with bright paper and perfect margins.
