Sarawak Government of Sarawak $1 1.1.1935 Pick 20. The last White Rajah of Sarawak, Charles Vyner Brooke, is featured on this always coveted note. The territory located on the Island of Borneo, and today a part of Malaysia, was acquired by the Brooke family through a series of land purchases. It received recognition from the United States and later the United Kingdom, and existed as a protectorate. The currency was pegged with the Straits Dollar, which circulated in bordering territories, and which eased transactions of mainly agricultural products produced in Sarawak. This example with superior centering and heavy embossing is tied with one other example as the finest graded. PMG Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 EPQ. From the Feeling Good Collection HID08701242017
