The reverse legend "Aeternit Imperi" (of the Eternal Empire) strikes a similar chord to the Septimius Severus' Family Aureus in this sale. The message being renewed stability in the Roman Empire after the civil war. Stability that is directly linked to the heirs of the newly established Severan dynasty depicted on the reverse.
