Fr-8; KM-9; CJ-49; La Onza-1573. A VERY RARE Federal issue, and the rarer of the two dates, citing the famous Argentine leader General Juan Manuel de Rosas. Generally pleasing, this example is sharply detailed except for an area in the reverse centers where some planchet adjustments remain, with fields that are lustrous and retain a natural appearance. Several short scratches to the left and right of the crossed cannons results in the "details" grade. Despite these shortcomings, an exciting opportunity for the collector of Latin American Onzas to acquire a type that very seldom appears on the market.
