CANADA. 50 Dollars, 2005. NGC MS-69.
Fr-B30; KM-unlisted. Short-lived type in palladium from a mintage thought to be around 140 (with "A" privy mark). A virtually perfect coin (pattern or trial) with an "A" privy mark laser etched below the maple leaf. Produced during the trial stages for this type and given a privy mark to differentiate between two potential blank preparation options; the first, marked "A" to be finished prior to being sold to the Royal Canadian Mint, while the "B" marked pieces were finished by the Mint. Ultimately, the "B" method was chosen and the test coins, thought to number around 140 per privy, were sold by lottery. RARE. 1oz APW. NGC MS-69.
Estimate: $1500.00- $2000.00
