DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. Five Piece Mint Set, 1937. PCGS MS-64/66 Secure Holder.
KM-17/21. Includes the 1 Centavo (KM 17, PCGS MS64RB), 5 Centavos (KM 18, PCGS MS66), 10 Centavos (KM 19, PCGS MS66), 25 Centavos (KM 20, PCGS MS64) and Half Peso (KM 21, PCGS MS65). An incredible first year of type set, with all the silver denominations (10 and 25 Centavos, 1/2 Peso) showcasing absolutely blazing luster with few signs of handling and minimal toning. The copper and nickel issues (1 and 5 Centavos respectively) remain in similarly superb condition, with significant red on the Centavo and near-flawless surfaces on the 5 Centavos (it actually being the single finest graded at PCGS or NGC!). VERY SCARCE as a set, and comparable to the finest we've seen (although it is mostly toned), with that set possessing an average grade of 65.4 for its components (vs. 65 for this set) and realizing $4,231.18 in a 2017 NYINC offering. PCGS MS-64/66 Secure Holder.

Estimate: $1000.00- $2000.00
