FRANCE. 5 Franc, An 12 (1803-04)-A. Paris Mint. NGC MS-64.
KM-659.1; Gad-577. Premier Consul issue. Struck during the twelfth and final year of Napoleon's period as Premier Consul, just preceding the election in early 1804 that brought over 3.6 million voters to the polls (99% of which voting in favor of Napoleon's acquisition of power) and made him the first Emperor of France. An amazing survivor of the issue, this piece is well struck and silvery gray hued in the open fields with subtle iridescence on the obverse and a richer sprinkling of dappled steely blue and olive tone around the reverse wreath. Incredibly smooth surfaces confirm the delightful quality and ensure this piece as one of the finest to have survived. NGC MS-64.

Estimate: $3000.00- $5000.00
