FRANCE. Baptism Restrike Silver Medal, 1811. Paris Mint. PCGS SP-61 Secure Holder.
68 mm; 160.00 gms. Bramsen-1125, struck in silver. Medal by B. Andrieu. Struck to commemorate the baptism of the King of Rome. Napoleon stands left, holding his son, the King of Rome, over the baptismal font; Reverse: Three line inscription, surrounded by a double circle of mural crowns, where the names of cities are written on each crown. Bronze versions of this medal appear from time to time with some regularity, but rarely do the silver examples appear in the Unites States. Deep mottled patina. PCGS SP-61 Secure Holder.
