FRANCE. 5 Franc, 1815-A. Paris Mint. PCGS MS-65.
Gad-591; KM-702.1; VG-2363. A handsomely designed type from this short-lived First Restoration (1814-1815) period, featuring the broad bust of Louis XVIII in ornate decor on the obverse with the crowned arms of France on the reverse. An absolutely enchanting survivor of the date, this Gem is the epitome of quality, displaying an extreme dearth of marks that enter the surfaces and blazing white color that captivates the eye. The strike is also impressive with notable strength along the outer dentilation that often appears weak. A perfect example for elite type representation and easily among the finest extant. PCGS MS-65.

Former cover coin for Le Franc IX (2012).

Estimate: $3500.00- $4500.00
