FRANCE. 5 Franc, 1828-W. Lille Mint. NGC MS-64.
Gad-614; KM-711.13; VG-2555. Impressively luminous in the fields with golden toning highlights that surround many of the central motifs and integrate with pale lilac and green color at the edges. Laudable for its bold strike as well, which has left Charles X's sideburns uncommonly complete and the fleur-de-lis on the reverse shield boldly pronounced. All considered, a very desirable example from this less frequently seen mint. NGC MS-64.
