Johann Martin Foerster, Mint Master, design by Leonard Oexlein. One of a succession of Nurnberg gold coins paying homage to the Holy Roman Emperors from Rudolf II through Franz II. Attractive for the grade with slightly muted luster in the open fields due delicate circulation, yet satisfying prooflike flash within the protected areas that beautifies both sides. Seldom encountered finer. NGC AU-55.
