GERMANY. Nurnberg. Gold Medallic Ducat (10 Mark), 1925. NGC MS-63.
3.57 gms. Erlanger-940; Fischer-10.3. By Josef Wild. A gold medal, ducat size, issued on the 400th Anniversary of the Reformation in Nurnberg. Sun rising over city view, "10 GOLD M." below; Reverse: "1 NURNBERGER GOLD-DUKATEN 1000/FEIN", legend around, plain edge. A lovely city-view type with full prooflike characteristics over both sides. Obviously quite RARE as we have seen only four examples (including this piece) that have been offered at auction in a nearly 15 year span.
