GREAT BRITAIN. Crown, 1644. Exeter Mint. Charles I (1625-49). PCGS EF-40 Secure Holder.
28.97 gms. S-3058; KM-334.1. Rose mintmark. Produced at one of Charles' temporary mints during his unsuccessful struggle with Parliament during the Civil War. Struck slightly off-center on a broad round flan with most of the legends clear on both sides. Deeply toned with good eye appeal; incredibly similar in appearance to the halfcrown in this sale that bears the same date, the two perhaps having been stored together for ages. PCGS EF-40 Secure Holder.
Estimate: $1500.00- $2000.00
