A beautiful Proof striking of this unadopted design, displaying the crisply executed bust of George III on one side with a lion standing atop a crown on the reverse. As one might expect from a Proof, the surfaces retain significant reflective gleam with apparent frost on the central motifs. Bright canary-yellow tone aids all. RARE with the added bonus of being a highly significant date for American collectors. NGC PROOF-63.
