GREAT BRITAIN. Crown, 1831. PCGS Genuine--Altered Surfaces, Proof. Unc Details Secure Holder.
S-3833; ESC-2460; KM-715. "W.W." engraver's initials on William's neck. Sharply defined with traces of double striking on both sides and surfaces that have been expertly micro-abraded to impart the appearance of a Gem, the end result being fields that are impressively smooth despite lacking the reflective depth of an original example. The central designs, delicately frosted on both sides, pair nicely with the nearly blemish-free appearance. Given its overall rarity (approximately 100 struck), a coin that will certainly generate significant excitement despite its shortcomings. PCGS Genuine--Altered Surfaces, Proof. Unc Details Secure Holder.

From the Keystone Collection.
