GREAT BRITAIN. Ten Piece Proof Set, 1893. PCGS PROOF-63 DEEP CAMEO to PROOF-64 DEEP CAMEO Secure Holders.
S-PS7; Fr-394a/397a; KM-PS13. From a mintage of only 773 sets. Queen Victoria's Veiled or "Old Head" issues, from 5 Pound to 3 Pence. 5 Pounds (PCGS PR-63DCAM), 2 Pounds (PCGS PR-64DCAM), Sovereign (PCGS PR-64+DCAM), 1/2 Sovereign (PCGS PR-63DCAM), Crown (LVI edge, PCGS PR-64), 1/2 Crown (PCGS PR-64), Florin (PCGS PR-64), Shilling (PCGS PR-64), 6 Pence (PCGS PR-64), and 3 Pence (PCGS PR-64). The silver issues all display an attractive smokey grey patina over hard flashy surfaces with frosted devices all with varying degrees of lovely sunset hues of honey gold, rose, purple and blue iridescence that pops out when tilted in the light. While the gold issues all remain bright, flashy and quite attractive with a thin veneer of tone. By all means a handsome set that clearly sat for a prolonged period of time undisturbed. A well matched set with good eye appeal sure to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters. With case of issue. PCGS PROOF-63 DEEP CAMEO (2), PROOF-64 CAMEO (1), PROOF-64+ DEEP CAMEO (1), PROOF-64 (6). All Secure Holders.

From the Braemore Collection.

Estimate: $35000.00- $50000.00
