GREAT BRITAIN. 1/2 Penny, 1862. PCGS AU-55 Secure Holder.
S-3956; KM-748.2. "C" to the left of lighthouse. A RARE and highly coveted issue that displays a small "C" die marker just to the left of the lighthouse on the reverse. Of the three die marked variations of the date ("A", "B" and "C"), this letter carries the highest value in the Standard Catalogue of British Coins with a listed price of £2750 in VF. With its attractive deep brown coloration and few surface marks, this is the finest we have seen with the PCGS and NGC populations reports showing no finer either. An important opportunity thus for the dedicated British copper enthusiast. PCGS AU-55 Secure Holder.
