Fr-7a; KM-55.1; Cal-Type 49 #233. While the date was struck off flan as is commonplace for the type, the reverse cross style, with its crosslet cross, helps to determine the striking date. A likely recovery from the 1715 Plate Fleet, this example displays sparkling luster and few visible marks for the grade. A few specks of glue reside, while easily removable through conservation, are noted for the sake of completeness.
