65 mm. Dia-364.1. Warrior in ancient Russian armor holding banner offering togate man a laurel branch, kneeling female left, inscription in exergue; Reverse: 11 lines of inscription within wreath. Friedrich Karl was a general in the Russian army who fought successfully against the Napoleonic forces, leading Russian siege forces near Gdansk in 1813 and forcing the occupying French army to capitulate. Sharply struck with the intricate details well defined. Attractive multi-color tone in the peripheries and amongst the devices. A lovely example with excellent eye appeal. PCGS SP-63 Secure Holder.
