MIXED LOTS. South East Asia. Thailand, Burma & Laos. Lat Bars, Elephant Tusk Money, Tok Money & Gambling Tokens, ND (ca. 17th-19th Century).
Approximately 69 pieces in lot. Includes various weights and types of Tok's from 3.22 gms to 71.25 gms, many of which still have remnants of the chicken's blood and egg yolk wash, various weights and types of Lat bars from 22.45 gms to 123.05 gms, three full Elephant Tusk ingots and one that has been cut in half, 24 Thai gambling tokens (all the same) and a vial of Gunja seeds (Abrus Precatorius) as ratti weights used as the standard weight system by goldsmiths all the way back to ancient times because their consistency in size and weight. Some have old Hans M.F. Schulman and NASCA auction tags. An interesting gathering with many of the Tok's in good states of preservation while many of the Lats show signs of prolonged circulation. Close personal inspection is advised and will reward the diligent bidder. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS.
