MIXED LOTS. Asia, Africa, Oceania, The Middle East and the Americas. Worldwide Panorama of Trade Objects and Currencies, ND (ca. 17th to Early 20th Century).
Approximately 55 pieces in lot. A wide selection of barter items from around the globe in various forms. Includes many SCARCE and interesting examples and types. Pieces of note included are a display box of tobacco from North America, various Chinese and Russian tea bricks from the early to mid-20th century (some cut and some fractions), a string of Banana Seed money from Uganda, a copper/bronze bowl from Persia, a large Agogo bell from Africa, a piece of Togo Stone money, Flying Fox jaws, two long pieces of copper wire money and two ivory bracelets as well as many other neat and interesting pieces. Most show signs of use and deterioration. Some have chips, cracks, are broken and/or have other defects. Close personal inspection is advised and will reward the diligent bidder. A number of pieces are from old Hans M.F. Schulman auctions with undated flips. Some may have earlier provenances. Due to the nature and size of this lot, additional shipping charges will apply.
