COLOMBIA. 1807-JF Escudo. Popayán mint. Carlos IV (1788-1808). Restrepo 85.38. MS-63 (PCGS).
Frosty and highly lustrous, with a distinctive texture from die lapping that gives this piece a uniquely frosty look. The reverse periphery is somewhat reflective, while other areas show raised die rust or die spalling. A very handsome piece, the last of the Bogotá 1 Escudos of Carlos IV.
