SICYONIA, Sicyon. Septimius Severus. AD 193-211. Æ Diassarion (24.2mm, 5.59 g, 7h). Struck circa AD 198-205. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Tetrastyle tomb in the form of a miniature temple on a high base; to either side, a male (on left) and female herm. Cf. BCD Peloponnesos 359 and 360.6 (same obv. die; different rev. type) and 365 (Plautilla) for reverse type; NCP –; BMC –. Fine, dark blue-green patina with reddish earthen highlights/deposits, flan split. Rare.
