2nd Intermediate Period. Circa 1650-1550 BC. Steatite scaraboid (25x20mm). Back carved with a falcon with spread wings and legs. Base engraved with a scarab flanked by Uraei (Royal Cobras) and a crocodile. Thin crack on back and miniscule chips around edge of base, otherwise intact, once glazed, pierced for mounting. Well carved and attractive.
