France: cast medal of "David" by Gabrielle Maurion-Vidal (1905-1987), ND, circa. 1970; in copper (or copper-finished metal); size: 6.8cm; weight: 161.4g. Obverse depicts David with lyre (artist's name by edge); on reverse a Star of David with open Torah scroll in center. As the reverse lacks additional detail, the blank open scroll device may have served as space for a dedication for an award medal. Maurion-Vidal was married to the French architect Henri Vidal.
