Germany: Religious festivals 'occasion' medal ("Gelegenheitsmedaillen" - token medals given on special occastions) of Jesus and the Pharisees (ND), circa. 1800; struck in silver; by G. [Gottfried Bernhard] Loos die-sinking establishment of Berlin - possibly the work of the artist Johann Veit Döll; 36.25mm, 14.05g: obverse depicts Jesus flanked on either side by 3 Pharisees; reverse, 5-line legend in German, "FÜRCHTE GOTT THUE RECHT SCHEUE NIEMAND" ("fear no man, rather fear God"). In UNC, with excellent patina and luster.
