Obverse: 7-line legend "Silver Anniversary of the Village and Colony of Santa Ysabel FCP/Central Pacific Railroad(?) 9 February 1933". Reverse: triangle with industry, agriculture & learning devices; legend "Peace, Culture, Progress". Founded 1908 by Jewish Colonization Association (organization which supported Jewish emigration from Russia & Eastern Europe to agricultural colonies especially in North & South America) & settled by Orthodox Jews; by 1913, over 131 families + 4 Synagogues; railway connection 1915; declined mid-20th Century. In VF, rare.
