Germany: Hermann Heine Foundation silver medal of Salomon Heine, 1906 by M. Anga; size: 42mm; weight: 28.85g. Obverse: bust of Salomon Heine & date "21 April 1837". Reverse: German legend "Truth, trust and respect are the basis of the movement of people of all faiths". Heine was a prosperous German-Jewish merchant, banker and philanthopist who supported his nephew, the poet Heinrich Heine and built a Jewish hospital in Hamburg to commemorate the death of his wife Betty (who died in 1837).
