Obverse: mother helping child; German legend "Aufbringungswerk Judische Gemeinde Berlin" ("Work creation Jewish Community Berlin"). Reverse: Star of David with Hebrew prayer ("Ashrey") & German translation "You [the Lord] open Your hand and sustain all living things". Charity probably headed by Rabbi Meir (Martin) Salomonski (1881-1944), former WWI German Army field Rabbi & founder of Berlin Liberal Synagogue; served to preserve the financial stability of Jewish institutions under Third Reich.
