Originally known as the "The Daughters of Israel - Home for the Incurables" founded in 1926 and later the "Jewish Chronic Disease Hospital" (1954); Albert was its president from 1944-66 and a research institute named for him was opened there in 1958. The institute is now known as the Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center of Brooklyn.
