[Gertrud Bertha [Kolisch]]; Beck's initials top right corner. Schoenberg was Austrian-Jewish composer whose musical approach is considered one of most influential on 20th C. musical thought. The medallist is Hungarian son of Baptised Jewish medallist, Fülop (Philip) Beck; JMM-83-84. Described in 1976 by Friedenburg as "recent work", probably dates to Schoenberg's centennary, 1974.
