France: Arthur Rubinstein numbered (10 out of 100) commemorative bronze medal, ND (circa. 1987) by Raphaël Pépin (b. 1926); size: 84.5mm; weight: 259g. Obverse depicts face of Rubinstein with his name and years of birth and death. On reverse image of fingers playing on a piano with French legend "L'Art de Faire Chanter de Doigts" ('the art of singing with the fingers'). Rubinstein (1887-1982) was a Jewish Polish-American classical pianist, generally considered one of the greatest pianists of the 20th Century. This medal was probably created to celebrate the centennary of his birth.
