Obverse: 'the children of Israel' gazing at the Promised Land, with sun-device with "Zion" above, & Hebrew legend "And there is hope for your descendents [to return to the Promised Land]" (Jeremiah). Reverse: co-joined busts of Queen Alexandra & Edward VII; legend: "Edward the Seventh King and Emperor, and Queen Alexandra the Almighty [abbreviated for "Yirom Hodu"] in His Days and in Ours Will Judea be Saved". Medallic strike, thick planchet. Edward VII was favorably disposed towards the Jews, his finances being managed by several of them. With original luster.
