Palestine: "Tnuat HaNoar HaTzioni" (Zionist Youth) movement pin, circa. 1930's; enamel and bronze; not maker-marked; size: 15.5mm; weight: 1.95g; pin was broken & partly reattached. Movement founded by Yitzhak Steiger in Sambor (1926) as secular apolitical Zionist youth movement, breaking away from Socialist-affiliated "HaShomer HaTzair", but retaining many of its symbols: Star of David (Judaism & Zionism), fleur-de-lis (Scouting movement), olive & oak wreaths (peace, nature, roots in the land). Originally called "Union of Hebrew Scouts", then "Hebrew Youth" ("Ha Noar Ha Ivri") & finally "Zionist Youth". Based in Warsaw, with branches in Europe & Palestine, where it established 30 settlements, including Tel Yitzhak, Ein HaShlosha, Mavkiim & Shaar Yishuv.
