1st edition Hebrew "Mickey Mouse" comic book: Jan. 1948 edition of volume 1 of "Miki Ma'oz" weekly comic book in Hebrew, published in Palestine by Yehoshua Bodshetsky "Tan-Pai" (1914-1988), printed in color lithographic print by P. Neidt & Son Press of Tel-Aviv and distributed by D. Topal & Sons. The copyright status for the publication is unclear: the cover image and others are credited in Hebrew to "Walt Disney" although certain character names have been localized (Donald Duck is renamed "Danny Avazani"), and certain comic segments are purely local - "Danny the Detective" is based on David Tidhar the real-life investigator (known locally as the "First detective of Palestine"); includes Pinoccio, Minnie Mouse and Amalina the Ant; 8 pages (17½ x 25cm).
