Palestine/Yishuv(?): commemorative pin for Maccabi sports association's 10th anniversary, circa. 1922; artist-marked in Hebrew letters 'Tzadi' and 'Shin' - may be Zvi Szkarlat workshop of Tel Aviv (generally known as a maker, not designer); size: 15.75 x 35mm; weight: 1.55g. The pin bears the early styled Maccabi emblem in a sun device, emitting rays, with a large Hebrew letter 'yud' (equivalent to the number '10') with Hebrew legend within: "Decade Celebration X"; the designer's initial are on the bottom right of the design. The piece appears to be a cast-make (conforms to economic climate of 3rd Aliya period), and although Maccabi was originally founded in Constantinople in 1895, this pin probably celebrates the decade anniversary of founding of Maccabi's Palestinian branch in 1912.
