Italy: "Vespasian Sestertius" bronze cast copy of Paduan 17th C. forgery based on rare Roman original of Judea Capta theme; 34.5mm, 25.5g. Obverse: laureate head right & legend "IMP CAES VESPASIAN AVG P M TR P P P COS III". Reverse: Victory on left writing on buckler against palm-tree, and captive ("Judea") at his foot crying; legend "VICTORIA AVGVSTI" & "SC" in exergue. Coin rotation. Typically poor detail of cast copy with little actual wear; based on original struck in 71 AD, ref: Cohen-625, RIC-468; Thomas-456.
