A note from BCD: In this catalogue, the accent is on the important German mediaeval collection being offered. One has therefore to go to plate 13 for ancient gold, mostly Roman and Byzantine. However, plates 18 to 20 surprise us with a nice group of quality Greek silver, obviously a selection from an old collection.
