A note from BCD: The first of the eleven plates illustrating the gold coins and medals of this auction has a varied selection of Greek, Roman and Byzantine material. Greek silver occupies the next two plates. There is a folded insert of two more plates at the end labeled GOLDMÜNZEN NACHTRAG. The catalogue has another insert in the form of a three-language announcement by Herr Wolf, the husband and inheritor of Frau Button, lamenting her passing.
