A note from BCD: In his introduction, Jules Florange indicated that the wishes of the collector were his top priority. He therefore accepted an unusual scheme of cataloguing, with minimal coin details but precise references to the latest published book on each type of coinage. He also agreed to the withdrawal of some coins the owner did not wish to sell, as they were part of a new collection he was planning. These coins were marked "retiré" in the quality column on the right side of the page.
