A note from BCD: The Professor's interest in numismatics was obviously wide-ranging but his taste when it came to Greek coins was excellent. However, for this writer, the most interesting item by far is lot 148, the false octobol of Histiaia, described as "very fine, but doubtful" and illustrated on plate III... If only it could now find its way into this writer's Black Cabinet...
