A note from BCD: Back in the 1880's Adolph Hess seemed to have some problems with denomination identifications but apart from calling all staters tetradrachms and all drachms didrachms, he was a good judge of rarity and was rarely wrong when identifying a coin's provenance. Lot 110, a Locri Opuntii "Tetradrachm" weighing 18,7g. (sic) is a mystery as its description does not match either the Becker (Hill 59) or the Caprara (Kinns 18) forgeries.
