AUCTION CATALOGUES. Hirsch, Dr. Jacob. Munich, 15 May 1905. No. XIII. Auctions-Catalog einer hochbedeutenden Sammlung Griechischer Münzen aus dem nachlasse eines bekannten Archäologen [Rhousopoulos]. 4627 lots, 202 pages plus index, 58 plates. Prices realized list and original printed card covers bound in. (22x26.5cm) Half tan leather with dark brown spine letters, raised bands. Some slight foxing at margins. Very Good. CS 1941, 1979, Kroh p. 34, Spring 371

A note from BCD: When this writer was a "newbie" a "Rhousopoulos" was next to his bed. Reading a lot description or two and looking at a couple of photos just before going to sleep was a guarantee of sweet dreams. Grierson calls it in his bibliography "One of the greatest collections of Greek coins" and one can immediately see the difference between it and a collection hastily amassed in a few years with the help of unlimited funds.
