A note from BCD: Leo Mildenberg was offering these groups of south Italian Greek silver as coming from a private Swiss collection but considering the extensive duplication of types this writer suspects that the numismatic department of Bank Leu needed some cash and it was therefore decided to liquidate some of the old stock of Jacob Hirsch. This is one of four rare Bank Leu FPL's issued in the early 60's with silver and gold from the Greek colonies in Sicily and south Italy.
