A note from BCD: Jacob Hirsch is not exaggerating when he states on the title page that the Seleucid series offered here is ..."la plus complete du monde". No less than 37 out of a total of 76 plates are illustrating Seleucid coins. The Aes Grave series that is offered at the start of the Roman section is also very complete and there are many rare and beautiful Greek coins too, especially from Magna Graecia.
